ARC Raiders The North Line update: unlocking Stella Montis, new ARC, and more

Only a few weeks after ARC Raiders’ launch, the frontier of the Rust Belt expands further north. The North Line update tasks all Raiders with contributing to the tunnel project so we can eventually reach the fifth map, Stella Montis.

Breaking New Ground event and Stella Montis

As promised by the developer, we’re getting a new ARC Raiders map before the holidays, Stella Montis. It’s located in the caverns of the northern mountains and has tracks of spaceships and humanity’s ambitions to reach the stars.

However, we must first reach the map through the Breaking New Ground community event. Everyone who played at least five rounds can contribute materials to the event, and when we hit the goal, Stella Montis will become available.

The first stage of the project requires the following resources:

• Metal Parts
• Fabric
• Chemicals
• Rubber Parts
• Plastic Parts

Contributions to the event award Merits, an event currency that fuels the next phase of progression. There’s a cap on how many Merits you can earn, but all donations help us reach Stella Montise quicker. Once the first stage is completed and the tunnels are reconnected, stage two will begin, with a new progression track and rewards, running until December.

ARC enemies

The North Line update also introduces two new ARC enemies to the game: Matriarch and the Shredder. Matriarch is a formidable ARC that “makes the Queen look friendly,” while the Shredder is a danger for more close-quarter encounters.

Matriarch appears during a specific map condition, similarly to how the Queen is only around with the Harvester event. On the other hand, Shredder will first appear on the Stella Montis map, so we must unlock it first to see it in person.

Weapons and grenades

There are also new gameplay items for you to discover. We don’t know exactly what these items look like or how to get them, so it’ll be up to the community to discover in the coming days. But you can expect to find the following items in The North Line update:

• New legendary weapon
• Three new mines
• Two new grenades
