Patrik “Zero” Žúdel is leaving the HellRaisers organization after being on the inactives list for several months.

Zero’s contract with HellRaisers ended earlier today, after the Slovakian star had spent almost two years with the CIS-region organization. He has been succeeded by Estonian stand-in Krijstan “FejtZ” Allsaar on the team’s active roster since his benching in October.

FejtZ joined at the same time that Zero stepped down from the team, as Zero felt that his impact on the team had drastically declined. He believed that his decline in confidence, the team’s change in roles, and his schooling has had a big effect on his performance. This was especially evident in many qualifiers for big international events, such as the PGL Major, the ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier, and EPICENTER. The last big event that he attended with HellRaisers was the ELEAGUE Major in January.

Considering it’s the 19-year-old’s year of graduation, it’s become apparent that he wants to focus on finishing school in Slovakia. The last time that Zero tweeted was Nov. 5, when he briefly returned to HellRaisers for StarLadder i-League Invitational—a $150,000 tournament in which the team placed third behind Renegades and Virtus Pro.

Since Zero’s benching, HellRaisers was able to qualify for the ESL Pro League Season Six Finals, where they finished top six over many of the world’s heavyweights, like Astralis, Team Liquid, North, and Ninjas in Pyjamas.

“Patrik is becoming a free agent and has the right to choose how to continue his esports path on his own,” the organization said its announcement today. “We wish Zero luck and we’re sure that he’ll have a bright esports future! A future that now solely depends on himself.”
