Another List of Legend Decks to Play This Week!

This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

Hello and welcome to another edition of Hearthstone Player’s slightly-not-so-weekly-report-with-a-couple-decklists-and-such. In case you are new to the boat, I have been writing some sort of weekly series about what has been going on in the ladder, with new decks that people have been playing to high levels and that you could be playing as well!

What happened this week? Well, quite the expected: New season, so faster decks as well as Control Warrior dominating the ladder countering these fast decks, a couple of Legend-ish decks appeared, but most of them were just the result of vicious playing combined with the season ending.

Just to explain my above statement, getting Legend becomes easier the more the time passes because the lower ranks (5-1) starts to get crowded with not-so-experienced players, meaning a lot of “Legendary” deck lists we start to get from day 25 to the end of the month aren’t always so trustworthy.

But fear not! I am here to separate the wheat from the chaff, bringing you guys only the strongest deck lists! Let us begin!

Kitkatz Control Warrior

Last week we were introduced to the newest Control Warrior type of list: The Slam Warrior. The list was tested and said to be much better than previously existing Warrior Control builds. To make that even more clear, Kitkatz updated the list with a couple of cards that he thought better.

This list is nothing but a rearrange of last week’s build, changing a couple of minions and spells to make the deck more fit to the metagame Kitkatz was facing, which probably was a very Control-ish metagame, given the arsenal of late-game he added to the deck.

nexus-champion-saraad was the most notable addition, however, and it is important to note how a late-game oriented threat that has staying power and allow you to make different plays the same turn is important to a deck like Control Warrior. I already crafted mine :3

Talking about inspire, I believe the Warrior Control lists are still to get updated a lot, so if you end up bumping into some not-so-used Inspire Card, *cough* kodorider *cough*, make sure you don’t disenchant it by mistake! Because Kodorider has a similar effect to Nexus-Champion, and in case the whole inspire idea stays, the next builds might end up using him!

Aggro Druid

Talking about fast, this deck was created by Reddit user Reg_Cursed, and just like we said, is a deck created solely to the early days of season, in order to grind the most games in the lowest time possible.

Basically, this is an extremely fast, all-in, deck that, due to its slightly-bigger minions when compared to other aggros, can sometimes fight for board Control.

This is a Face-ish deck, that can sometimes fight for board Control, that is made to close games very quickly either by pure pressure or by the super power of the savage-roar+force-of-nature combo. Take note of how this deck is capable of dropping minions on the board, so sometimes you’ll be capable of bursting in for a lot even if just with savage-roar.

There isn’t much else to say about this deck, in case you like the Druid class but want to play something either faster or different, try this deck out!

Spare Part Oil Rogue

And Rogue lovers are still trying to keep the class alive! This week, reddit user MatGagne created a deck that tries to abuse Rogue’s spells already existing good interaction with gadgetzan-auctioneer, adding a couple of Spare Part generators together with TGT newest cards that can interact very well with those cards: The Bane Sisters.

Overall, the Oil Rogue shell is the build Rogue players are exploring the most when trying to keep their class alive, this happens because TGT didn’t bring any other card to the class, so it is best for rogues to try and find holding in the Neutral cards.

This week’s Rogue build, compared to Last week, is a lot more Midrange-y, capable of sustaining more mid to late game power, while dropping a lot of its bursting potential. In case you want to try something different and still love Rogue, this is the deck for you to try this week!

Inner Fire Dragon Priest

This was something that was not expected at all. But, come to think of it, given how the Hearthstone game has moved away from the whole “Minions fighting for board control” thing a long time ago and became a game of “Kill your opponent, or be killed”, this deck had to show up at some point.

This is basically a standard Dragon Control Priest list, that trades a couple of its Responses for the old inner-fire combo. This time, we have this combo on a decent enough Priest shell that it might work. According to the deck’s creator, Dwaynas, this deck was able to reach Rank 1 Legend within the first days of this new season. That doesn’t say much, however, since there aren’t many people actually trying, but this deck still has a surprise effect that, in case you want to use, shall be effective as long as this version of Dragon Priest isn’t as popular as other versions.

This is a pretty decent Priest list, and in case you want something new to try, as a Priest, this is the list for you this week!

Closing

And this is it for today, my cuties! Of all the lists that I have posted this week, I believe that once again the Warrior one is the strongest, so in case you have any doubts and just want a strong list to play during the first two weeks of season grind, the Warrior list is a good starting point. However, I believe the list is still to get a lot of updates, so stay tuned on our website for constant updates :3

Overall, every list posted here is Legend-viable, and their creators have all reached a very high rank in the Legendary ladder with them.

I hope you guys liked these lists, I love you all, see ya in our next article! 😀
