Prices slashed for the OWL’s All-Star Weekend skins

Overwatch fans weren’t very happy when Blizzard said last week that the special All-Star Weekend skins would cost 300 Overwatch League credits, or $20.

The two skins will by available from Aug. 17 to 27 to commemorate the Overwatch League All-Star Weekend, where the league’s two divisions will go head-to-head in a series of skill-based matches and the All-Star Game. But the skins will be a bit cheaper when the games begin, dropped down to 200 Overwatch League tokens, which will cost $10. Blizzard awards Overwatch League viewers for watching the stream on Twitch, but credits are still hard to come by, unless they’re bought. Two-hundred costs $10. Together, both skins will cost 400 Overwatch League tokens, or $20.

The Overwatch League’s All-Star Weekend begins on Aug. 25 and continues through Aug. 26. On the first day, the two teams will participate in Lúcioball Showdown, a three-on-three series with five-minute long games played on the new Busan map; Mystery Heroes; Widowmaker one-on-one; Talent Takedown, where teams are up against Overwatch League casters and analysts; and Lockout Elimination. Sunday’s All-Star Game will have the teams compete in a six-on-six standard set with a five-map series.

Overwatch League All-Star Weekend rosters have been locked in for a couple months now. Twelve players were chosen for fan vote, with another group of players chosen for the remaining spots by coach, player, and staff vote.

Everything will be streamed live on Twitch throughout the entire All-Star Weekend, but fans are also able to watch on-site at Blizzard Arena Los Angeles in Burbank, California.
