A new Fortnite update went live this morning, but it changed nothing in terms of gameplay. Epic Games announced yesterday this patch was going to be pushed live today in all platforms to “address issues with Battle Royale Replays and Save the World localization.”

A few players were having problems with generating and watching replays in Battle Royale after this week’s v9.10 update went live two days ago. In Save the World, the issue seems to have been with Weapon and Defender Perks appearing in English regardless of the game language the player chose. Both issues should be resolved with this patch, Epic says.

It’s unclear if this update has recovered replay files from matches players had during the period this system was broken. Other than these fixes, Epic made no other changes in any game mode. There are no patch notes for the update, and there was no server downtime for the deployment of both fixes.

The latest update to introduce changes was the v9.10 patch. It introduced Hot Spots, which are random areas where players can find better loot from Loot Carriers. It also introduced the limited-time mode Downtown Drop and the special character bundle Hang Time as part of the Fortnite x Jordan mashup. This event will last until June 3.

All changes to weapons that were introduced in the v9.10 update will continue in the game, such as Combat Shotgun and Shadow Bomb’s decreased spawn rate and the unvaulting of the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle in default game modes.

Players will be forced to download the update before jumping into their next Fortnite matches.
