After surging to popularity with her single “Good Luck Babe,” Roan has become the subject of intense public scrutiny. In a recent interview, Roan shared her thoughts about political endorsements in the 2024 election. “There are so many things that I would want to change. So I don’t feel pressured to endorse someone,” she said. “There’s problems on both sides.” As a member of the LGBTQ+ community with a large queer fanbase, many hoped the singer would endorse the Democratic nominee for president, Kamala Harris.

Following Hasan’s post on X, many of his subscribers are defending Roan and her political beliefs. “It’s almost like they’re supposed to work for us,” one user posted, poking fun at the people who originally misconstrued Roan’s statements.
