Fortnite was the most played Nintendo Switch game in 2018

The game has only been on the console for half a year.

Fortnite: Battle Royale was the most played game on the Nintendo Switch in Europe in 2018.

The game topped Nintendo fan-favorite titles like the gorgeous The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and even EA’s FIFA 19. Considering Fortnite wasn’t even on the console until E3 2018 came along halfway through the year, this is quite an impressive feat.

It just goes to show what a phenomenon the popular battle royale game has become over the past year. We are halfway through Fortnite’s seventh season heading into 2019 and there’s surely still more craziness to come.
